August Update

I suck at blogging. I want to get better. I have a job at Arizona State University. WOW. Amazing that this happened so fast and is everything I hoped it would be. Tuition benefits? $25 plus fees for up to 9 credit hours. After two semesters I'll have to start paying taxes -- but that's a heck of a lot better then out of state tuition. Again, WOW. I am a Student Academic Specialist or SAS which we call a Sassy. I am a sassy. Fits right? I think so. I work with a lot of transfer students and answer general advising questions. Hopefully once I am into my masters program I will be promoted to advisor. Oh student affairs.

Speaking of my masters...GRE is on OCT 8. WISH ME LUCK!!

I am living in Mesa. The house is awesome but my room is HOT and there is a massive dog here. No offense to the dog...but I am definitely a cat person. I like my roommates but we seem to be in very different places and going different directions, so I'm not sure how long it will last. I live pretty far from where I work so I may be moving closer eventually, we'll see. I finally decided on a ward to join and turned my membership records in last Sunday. On Monday the bishop called and asked me to speak. Hahahaha. Not even a full 24 hours later. I'm excited though, I like speaking in church.

I got a gym membership with L.A. Fitness. I've heard some good and bad things, mostly about closing an account with them. I just know to do it at least 3 months in advance. I get free guest benefits...so I can bring up to 2 people with me every time I go for FREE. Little sister is planning on coming a lot so this should be beneficial. I also signed up for personal training and I LOVE my trainer. Really. He motivates me the right way. He is good at what he does. And he is CUTE. He's also moving two hours away to be a fitness manager at another gym. I'm heart broken. Hopefully there is another trainer there who is just as amazing.

Now for Arizona. It is HOT here. We average 108-113. This heat is NOT dry heat. Monsoon season brings a butt load of humidity. When the monsoon season ends the temperatures start to drop and so does the humidity. The bugs are out, spiders are out, snakes are out, etc... Arizona summers are rotten. Winter better make up for it. The political race here is dirty. I hardly ever see commercials FOR a candidate, just against a different candidate. Rotten.

Lastly...my little sister has gotten me addicted to the three songs on my playlist. I love that they are CLEAN. The first one is just for YOU. Enjoy.
