Utah was FREEZING, but not as cold as Flagstaff. I borrowed my roommates gloves beacause the forcasted temperature for my quick stop was 8 degrees. The forcast was wrong, it was 3 degrees. 3! OH MY GOSH. I don't know how people live in that kind of cold! The drive however, was gorgeous.
I was home for 2 days before it started snowing. I literally thought I was going to die. Walking on the ice and driving in the snow is no longer my cup of tea. I am officially a Phoenix snob.
I loved being home and seeing my family and friends (and my cat!) and I especially loved not having to work. However, I also realized how important stability is to me, especially with this weight loss. Mentally, I worked 4x as hard to do 75% of the work I usually do. Waking up at the butt crack of dawn to go to the gym is much easier when it's my routine before work than when I'm on vacation. However, not ALL of my workouts were gym related...I went rock climbing. At a rock gym. Not as cool as climbing outdoors, but the last time I went there I just watched. This time I climbed. I was so proud and it was so fun! I definitely want to continue climbing!
After celebrating the New Year with a marshmallow fight, massive poppers, tons of confetti, and some of the best people I know, I took off for Vegas.
Now that you are updated on my life, here are my stats :)
After I was the SAME weight for two weeks straight I realized that the plateau I was hoping would hold off for a week or two and hit. I was really hoping to be under 200 first. Oh well, such is life. SO, this is my slingshot week to get through the plateau. I don't weigh on my slingshot weeks because my number should be a little higher, and I really don't want to see it. You'll get an update next week. Really though, I am just so happy to be so close to 200 lbs.
